Welcome to the Department of Agribusiness Management and Consumer Studies.

We are home to a highly motivated faculty, students and staff within the School of Agriculture and Technology of the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani.

Our core teaching and research comprise the economics, extension and business of agriculture, food and fibre resources. Our faculty are at the forefront of conducting cutting-edge research to sharpen the competitiveness of agriculture and agri-business, locally and internationally. The Department’s most recent research areas include international trade, agricultural and food policy, technology adoption, business risk and insurance, marketing, entrepreneurship, and many more.

In terms of training, the Department is home to several vibrant graduate and undergraduate programmes.  Prospective students have a variety of programmes in agribusiness (BSc., MBA, MPhil), agricultural and resource economics (BSc.), and agriculture with extension major (BSc.), to choose from. We embrace a balanced approach of combining theory and internship to ensure that our graduates are well prepared for government, business, and academia careers.
