The School of Agriculture and Technology was established in the 2014/2015 academic year at the Dormaa Ahenkro Campus of UENR.

The first Dean of the School was Prof Daniel Obeng Ofori with Dr William Quarmine and Ms Helena Oppong-Kyeremeh as pioneer faculty members. Mr Isaac Atuahene, principal administrative assistant and Emmanuel Sackey, senior accounting assistant were also the administrative staff of the School and Dormaa Campus in general.  Twenty three (23) BSc. Agriculture and twelve (12) BSc. Agribusiness Students were the first cohort of students admitted into the School and the Dormaa Campus of UENR. Afterwards, in the 2016/2017 Academic year, four other staff, Dr Charles Adarkwah, Dr R.K. Bannor, Dr Samuel Kwesi Asomaning and Mr Ernest Darkwah Yeboah joined the School and Mr Clement Kuusoyir as the Faculty Officer. With dedication, teamwork and tenacity, these staff worked assiduously to ensure the exponential growth of the School.  The School afterwards grew to house the School of Geosciences until it was formally birthed in the 2019/2020 academic year.

To be the leading School in the provision of hands-on agriculture and allied education in the West African Subregion.

Mission

We undertake demand-driven research, continuous development of problem-solving and job-oriented curriculum, teaching and training of students and clients in agriculture and related sectors.
